At 11 a.m. December 30 the church will have their first morning worship service at the old Union Whitley Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Jamaica Kelley, pastor and Sister Stacey Sims Kelly, first lady. Please come out and worship the Lord with us.
Old Shady Grove Baptist Church
The Free Will Usher Union will meet at the church, located on New Era Road at 7 p.m. Friday December 28. All ushers are to be present.
Zion Hope Baptist Church
Watch night service will begin at 10 a.m. December 31. The speaker will be announced later. Refreshments will be served.
Ellaville Baptist Church
Mac Poole, Minister of Music for the past 41 years will retire at the end of the year. A retirement celebration is planned to honor him on Sunday December 30. All members, former members and friends are invited to attend this very special occasion. The morning services will remain as usual — Sunday School at 9 a.m. and morning worship at 10 a.m. A covered dish “dinner on the grounds” meal is scheduled for noon n the fellowship hall. During the afternoon, beginning at 1:30 p.m. a musical program is planned featuring congregational singing, choir specials, local talent from withing the church, and former musicians. Mr. Poole will present a short piano and organ medley. Special guest speaker who resides in Brunswick. Rev. Carr was pastor of Ellaville Baptist Church when the church called Mr. Poole to be Minister of Music in 1971.

on the program will be Rev. Travis Rush of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Rev. Curtis Iverson of Daniel Grove Baptist Church and Rev. Hosie Waters. We are asking the surrounding community to come out and help celebrate our watch night services.
