Americus



Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church



The public is invited to the 3rd Annual Christmas Musical on at 5 p.m. Saturday, December 15. The 3rd Annual Bethesda Christmas Musical and Fashion Show will be part of the event. Participants will include the Voices of Bethesda, Bethesda/Big Bethel/Mt. Olive Combined Youth Choirs, Union Tabernacle Choir, Friendship and Restoration Combined Praise Team and Bethesda Blessed Dancers. Christmas and winter attire will be modeled. Bethesda will also celebrate 18 consecutive years of serving Project Angel Tree—children of incarcerated parent(s)—in Sumter County. Everyone is invited to attend.





 Fellowship Baptist Church

The annual Christmas program will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16. "Our Hope is in Emmanuel" will consist of Advent and Christmas music, and will be followed by refreshments. Everyone is invited.



Friendship Missionary Baptist Church

Located at 411 Cotton Ave., the church announces a time change for their worship service. Sunday School begins at 8:45 a.m. Worship service is 10 a.m. every Sunday. Worship Services are also held every first and third Sundays at 6 p.m..



Daniel Grove Baptist Church

The 15th anniversary of pastor Rev. Curtis Iverson will be held at 2 p.m. December 16. Rev. DeRienzia Johnson and the Bethesda Baptist Church will be in charge of services along with other churches.



County Line Baptist Church

Annual candlelight service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday December 16.

Pastor Rodney Duncan and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Marshallville will be in charge of the service. The public is invited.



Jerusalem B. Church

There will be no morning services Sunday December 16. Services will be held at 4 p.m. and 5 p.m.



New Jerusalem Baptist Church

The annual Christmas program will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday December 16. The sermon will be delivered by Rev. David Towns at  p.m. Music will be rendered by area choir members.



Campbell Chapel Methodist Church

Christmas at Campbell will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday December 16. Your are cordially invited to attend and worship with us. The Young People have planned a very exciting program and want you to know that Jesus is the Reason for the Season. Hope to see you there. The public is invited and all are welcome.



Love of Christ Bright Light Ministries

Special Christmas services will be held nightly Wednesday December 19

through Friday December 21 at 7:30 p.m. nightly.



Sumter Area Ministerial Association



The Sumter Area Ministerial Association (SAMA) says thanks to the following contributors who donated so generously to the Thanksgiving Food Pantry.  The response was so overwhelming that a December drive was not necessary. "Thank you" to Railway Freight, Innovative Senior Solutions, Shiver Lumber Company, Americus Times Recorder, Campbell Chapel AME Church, Citizens Bank, Harvey's Supermarket, Georgia Southwestern State University, First Presbyterian Church, Fellowship Baptist Church, First United Methodist Church,DeSoto Baptist Church, Restoration Church, Union Tabernacle Baptist Church,The Knights of Columbus, Plains Methodist Church, Calvary Episcopal ChurchGSW SIFE, Mennonite Fellowship Church, Sarah Cobb Elementary School, Sumter Middle School, Americus Sumter High North Campus, and all other schools, churches, clubs, individuals and organizations who contributed in any way.  Many families were truly blessed because of your generosity.



Restored Praise Night of Worship

The Rory Edge and Restored Praise Night of Worship has been cancelled until a later date.

Ebenezer Baptist Church

The 2012 Christmas program will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday December

15. Come join us in an evening filled with the Holy Spirit — fun,

laughter and door prizes.



Leslie United Methodist Church

Drop-in Communion will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. December 24.
