AMERICUS — Americus

Concord Methodist Church

The church hosts a Revival is held Feb. 24-27. Guest evangelist is the Rev. Bobby Gale from Irwinton, who heads a mission organization called "Unto the Least of These," and travels all over the world evangelizing and conducting mission work. Services begin at 11 a.m. Sunday and continue at 7 p.m. Sunday-Wednesday. The public is invited, and a nursery is provided at each service. For information call 229-560-2464.



Shipp Chapel Baptist Church

The annual Senior Citizens Program is at 9 a.m. Sunday. The public is invited.



Cornerstone Church

A "Free Answers Conference" is Feb. 23-24. Guest speaker is James Gardner. The conference begins at 6:30 p.m. Saturday with the topic being Family Event: Aliens, UFOs, and Incredible Creatures. At 9 a.m. Sunday, the topic is Dinosaurs and Dragons followed at 11 a.m. by The Consequences of the Path You Choose. At 6 p.m. hear about The Mystery of Ancient Man and at 7 p.m. learn "What is Truth.” The public is invited.



United House Of Prayer Inc.

A Men’s Conference is at 7 p.m. Feb. 27-March 1. Deacons will be featured Wednesday and Thursday and Friday features Pastor Alford Robinson of Reach out and Touch Ministry. The conference culminates at 10:30 a.m. March 3. Transportation is available by calling 928-9890.



Healing Temple Ministries

A women’s conference is at 7 p.m. today through Sunday. Theme is “Daughters of Promise.” Sister Sonya Galloway of Union Tabernacle Church is speaker today. Pastor Shelia Williams of House of Prayer Church, Richland is speaker Friday. A prayer breakfast is at 8 a.m. Saturday. Evangel Temple of God Ministries is in charge of service at 11:45 a.m. Sunday with a Women in Red Program. Minister Sharon Tarver of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church is speaker. Dinner will be served. Everyone is invited.



Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church

A Black History Celebration, hosted by the Hospitality Ministry, culminates at 11 a.m. Sunday. Members, family and friends are asked to dress in African attire. Everyone is invited.



Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church

The annual Black History program us at 3 p.m. Sunday with Juanita F. Wilson of Bethesda Baptist Church as guest speaker. The public is invited.



Big Bethel Baptist Church

The 82nd ushers’ anniversary is observed at 4 p.m. Sunday with special guests Pastor Lem Wright, Marthanna Living Way Church, DeSoto and Jerusalem Baptist Church, Schley County.

A Black History program, sponsored by the Department of Juvenile Justice, is 4-6 p.m. Feb. 27. Everyone is welcome.



Campbell Chapel A.M.E Church

The Brantley/Childers Women Missionary Society hosts a rainbow celebration to honor senior members at 4 p.m. Sunday. Theme is “Down Through the Years.” Speaker is Minister Harriett Rouland-Jones of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Ellaville. The public is invited.

Spring Creek Baptist Church

Revival services are at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25-28. Guest minister is the Re. Patrick Holsey of St. Paul Baptist Church, Sylvester. The public is invited.



DeSoto

Jackson Grove Baptist Church

A Candlelight Service is at 6 p.m. Sunday. Guest speaker is Apostle Henry Hosley and Zion Hope Baptist Church of Leesburg and Mount Pleasant Baptist Church of Smithville. Women are asked to wear white and men to wear black.



Leslie

Leslie United Methodist Church

Everyone is invited to a revival services Feb. 24-26. Guest minister is the Rev. Mike Davis (native of Leslie/DeSoto area) of Pinson Memorial United Methodist Church, Sylvester. Theme is “Regroup, recharge and refocus.” The 11 a.m. service Sunday features special music by Doug Cheek and Leslie/DeSoto choirs; followed by covered dish lunch. At 6:30 p.m. Sunday, special music by Laura Kay Bazemore of First Baptist Church, Butler. At 6:30 p.m. Monday, special music by First Baptist/Pleasant Grove Men's Quartet with Clint Holloway, Ray Duke, Tracy Law and Tim Malcolm, and at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, special music by Cornerstone Worship Team featuring Angela Westra, Kevin Brown, Stacy Brown and others. Perry Grove Baptist Church

Men and Women Night Out is at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 27 with Minister Tomeika Davis bringing the message for Women Night. The Rev. Charles McDonald brings the message at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28, Men’s Night. At 11 a.m. March 3, the annual Men and Women Day is observed with the Rev. David Hamm bringing the message. Colors are pink, black and white. Everyone is invited.



Preston

Mount Zion Webster Missionary Baptist Church

Appreciation services for the pastor, the Rev. Alfred Starling, is Sunday with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. Minister Eugene Lewis brings the message. Everyone is welcome.



Smithville

Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church

Women in Red program is at 6 p.m. Saturday. Speaker is Minister Gregory Cutts of Dudley. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited.
