Union Oak Grove Baptist Church

The Union Oak Grove Baptist Church will be observing their annual Deacons’ and Deaconess’s’ Fellowship program on March 25. Sunday school is at 10:30 a.m. Regular service is at 11:30 a.m. Guest speaker for this special occasion will be Minister Aderica Jackson of Zion Hope Baptist Church of Sumter City.



The New Union Grove Baptist Church

You are invited to the Pastor and wife’s anniversary. Sunday School is at 10 a.m. Sunday March 25 Regular service is at 11 a.m. The anniversary service is at 2 p.m. Jerome Jones is bringing the message.



Big Bethel  Baptist Church

The women’s ministry will climax their annual women’s conference this weekend at 7 p.m. March 23 with Minister Vernita Sampson and Elder Gloria Bryant and at 11 a.m. Sunday March 25 with Minister Linda Wright and Pastor Georgia Deriso. A wonderful program has been planned and we look forward to seeing you there.



The Sumter Area Ministerial Association



Sumter Area Ministerial Association in partnership with Americus and Sumter County citizens will celebrate Holy Week Services Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6 from 12:10 to 12:50 p.m.  The theme is "Bearing the Cross."  Monday, April 2,  Host:  First Baptist Church, 221 S. Lee Street.  Prayer Focus:  Law Enforcement, Elected Officials, Judicial System, Fire & Emergency.  Tuesday, April  3,  Host:  First United Methodist Church Hispanic Worship Center, 118 Taylor Street.  Prayer Focus:  Educational System & Media, Schools, Colleges, Universities, Newspapers, Radio, TV.  Wednesday, April 4, Host:   United Holiness Church, 901 Aaron Snipes Sr., Dr.  Prayer Focus:  Healthcare Facilities, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center,   Nursing Homes, Mental Health Clinics, Home HealthCare .  Thursday, April 5,  Host:  Cornerstone Church, 245 Southland Drive, Prayer Focus:  Churches, all denominations, religious organizations, Interracial Affairs,  Social & Civic Organizations., Sororities, Fraternities, Families in Crisis.  Good Friday, April 6, Prayer Focus:  All who are suffering for Christ's sake, The President & Congress, Armed Forces, 3rd World Countries, Missionaries, Natural Disasters.  4:00 p.m. "Bearing the Cross" - Journey Walk with "Stations of the Cross" from town square near Gammage Print Shop, end at Calvary Episcopal Church  for                                                                       6:00 p.m. Reading of the Passion with Host Calvary Episcopal Church, 408 S. Lee Street.  



Cornerstone Church

Spring Food and Film Festival at 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Church. A $5 ticket will get you a barbecue plate and entrance to the movie “Courageous.” Concession stand will be on site during the movie, so bring extra change for popcorn, candy and sodas will be for sale. Ellaville



County Line Baptist Church

A “Spreading the Good News Fellowship Program” will be held at 4 p.m. March 25. The guest speaker will be Minister Nathaniel Sanford Jr. of William Grove Baptist Church. The public is invited.

A gospel will be held at 7 p.m. March 31. Refreshments will be served following the sing. Everyone is invited.





Oak Grove Baptist Church

Men’s and Women’s day starts at 10 a.m. with Sunday School and regular services follow at 11 a.m. March 25. The men’s speaker is deacon Eddie Baisden and the women’ speaker is Deaconess Mary Louise Baisden.



County Line Methodist Church

A gospel sing starts at 7 p.m. March 31 featuring Forgiven. Refreshments will be served following the sing. Everyone is invited.

Greater New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church

Tuesday Night Live: Pastor E. Terrell Carter and the Greater New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church family will host the weekly Tuesday Night Live Service at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Pastor George Frank Monts of Zion Hope Baptist Church of Sumter City. You are cordially invited to attend.



Bethlehem Baptist Church

The annual Youth Revival is at 7 p.m. Marcy 27-29 with Pastor George Vareem of Valdosta as guest speaker  with various churches on the program each night: Tuesday — Greater Cedar Spring and Choir. Union Tabernacle Baptist, Shipp Chapel Baptist, Mount Salem Baptist, New Hope A.M.E. and Old Corinth Baptist; Wednesday — St. Mark Baptist and Choir, Antioch Baptist Church, Greater New Lebanon, Ebenezer Baptist Church, St. John A.M.E. and St. Mark A.M.E.; Thursday — Williams Grove Baptist and Choir, Mount Zion Baptist Church, Mitchell Grove Baptist Church, Tried Stone Baptist Church,Jerusalem Grove Baptist, Zion Hope Baptist Church and Marthana Living Way of Christ. Greater Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church



The Pre-Church and Pastor’s Anniversary is celebrated at 7:30 p.m. March 29-30. Speaker on March 29 is the Rev. Jimmy Crimes Jr., Mount Pleasant Baptist Church, Richland. Speaker on March 30 is the Rev. Coley Clark Jr., Shiloh Baptist Church, Preston.

On April 1, the church’s 143rd and pastor , the Rev. Joe Richard and Sister  Marion Oglesby’s 30th anniversaries are celebrated with the Rev. Zachariah Terry, Evans Chapel C.M.E. Church, Preston, as speaker. Everyone is invited.



Apostle David and Prophetess ShaWanna Holt of Macon  will be at the 4-H Club of Preston at 7 :30 p.m. March 22-23. Service has been canceled in Ellaville for Sunday March 25. For more information call 924-4123.
