Americus

Calvary Episcopal Church

Holy Week services continue with Maundy Thursday services and holy Eucharist at 6 p.m. today; at 4 p.m. Good Friday Stations of the Cross and 6 p.m. communion from reserved sacrament; 8 p.m. Saturday Easter Vigil begins. Easter Sunday worship services with holy Eucharist are 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.



 

Salem United Methodist Church

Easter services begin with sunrise service and breakfast, and 11 a.m. – 12 noon service Sunday, Upper River Road.

 

Old Shady Grove Baptist Church



The Resurrection of Christ and Youth Day is 11 a.m. Sunday along with regular services. Everyone is invited.

 

New Bethel Baptist Church

Sunrising Service is 6:30 a.m. Sunday with guest speaker Pastor Kenny Houch of Mt. Carmel B. Church, Buena Vista and Antioch Baptist Church of Americus. Breakfast will be served immediately following services.

 

Greater Cedar Spring

Youth Revival is 7 p.m. April 9 – 11. Speaker of the week is Rev. Travis Rush of Americus. Everyone is invited.

 

Shipp Chapel Baptist Church

Easter program is during 9 a.m. worship Sunday. Everyone is invited.

 

Perry B. Grove Church

Annual Family, Friends and Guest Day begins with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 a.m. the third Sunday in April.

 

County Line Baptist Church

Annual Revival is 7:30 p.m. April 9 – 13. Speaker will be Howard K. James Jr. of Harvest Kingdom Jubilee Ministry of Albany. Everyone is invited.

 

Union Grove Baptist Church

Easter program begins with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and services at 11 a.m. Sunday. The Youth of Travelers Home Baptist Church will be speaking and Praise dancing. Everyone is invited.

 

Piney Grove #3 Baptist Choir

The 41st Anniversary celebration is 11 a.m. Sunday during regular service. Rev. Courtney Moore of Americus will bring the message and guest soloist is Bro. Gary Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.

 

Campbell Chapel AME Church

Spring Revival schedule is as follows: 7 p.m. April 24 – 26. Tuesday’s speaker is Rev. Gerald Harris of Mayfield Zion and St. James AME Churches; Wednesday is Elder Larry Franklin of Samaritan Fellowship and The Church of God in Christ Church Family; Thursday is Rev. Nathaniel Veal and The Allen Chapel AME Church Family. The theme is “Spiritual Renewal: Pure Religion Like It Used To Be!” Everyone is invited.

 

Christians for Change Ministry

Third Sunday evening fellowship service, “A Night of Praise”, is 6 p.m. April 15 with guest speaker Pastor Solomon Loud and New Beginning Church of Albany. Everyone is invited.



Andersonville



Andersonville United Methodist Church is having Easter Sunrise Services at Andersonville National Park at 7 a.m. Sunday morning at the podium. Pastor Gil Tripp invites the public. Breakfast will be served at Andersonville United Methodist Church after the service.

Friendship Baptist Church

Mission and Usher’s Anniversary is 11 a.m. Sunday with guest speaker Sis. Hattie Ferguson of the Old Corinth Baptist Church.

 

Jackson Grove Baptist Church

The 126th Church Anniversary is 7 p.m. April 10 – 12. Hosts are as follows: Tuesday, Rev. Lem Wright and Marthanna Living Way of Christ; Wednesday, Rev. Hill and Zion Hill Baptist Church; Thursday, Rev. Freddie Mann and Welcome Baptist Church. Climax is 11 a.m. April 15 with Rev. Campbell and the New Beulah Baptist Church and 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Samuell Stokes and the Mt. Able Baptist Church.

 

Ellaville



Leslie United Methodist Church

From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday April 7 an Easter Egg Hunt will be held. Games and a hot dog lunch will be part of the family occasion. William Grove Baptist Church

A Sunrise Service begins at 6 a.m. Easter Sunday, to be followed by breakfast. The Easter program starts at 10 a.m. The regular 11 a.m. worship service is canceled. The public is invited.



 

Jerusalem Baptist Church

Annual Youth Day Celebration begins with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and Worship at 11 a.m. Sunday. Guest speaker is Minister Debra Walker of Marthanna Living Way of Christ Church and music will be rendered by their Youth Choir. Everyone is invited.

 

Plains

 

Rylander Church

Gospel Sing is 7 p.m. Saturday with a covered dish supper at 6 p.m. Singers are Behind the Cross of Leslie. Church located on Highway 308, south of Plains.

 

Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

Easter Program is 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited.

 

Smithville

 

Jerusalem Grove Baptist Church

Annual Youth Revival will be closed out during regular service at 11 a.m. Sunday, beginning with Sunday school at 10 a.m. The theme for the day is “Training up Youth of Today” and Rev. Charles Carr Sr. will bring the message. There will be no Easter program as the church is on program at Big Bethel in Americus at 2 p.m.

 

Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church



Pastor and First Lady, Apostle Henry and Mary Holsey’s 23rd Anniversary begins with Sunday school at 10 a.m., regular service at 11 a.m. and Anniversary sermon at 2:30 p.m. Guest minister is Rev. Luscious Mitchell of Parrott along with his churches, Macedonia Baptist Church and Green Grove Baptist Church.

Zion Hope Baptist Church
