Americus



Daniel Grove Baptist Church

 At 2 p.m. Sunday October 21 the  67th Church anniversary will be observed with Rev. Jessie Watts and the Old Shady Grove Baptist church will be in charge of services along with other churches.



New Bethel Baptist Church

The 139th Anniversary will be held at 2 p.m. October 21. Guest speaker will be Pastor Daniel Clinton on Shipp Chapel Baptist Church.



Campbell Chapel AME Church

The Vivian Bryant Angel Choir 21st choir anniversary will be held at 4 p.m. October 21. All special guests are asked to render an A and B selection.



The Restoration Church of Americus, Inc.

The community is invited to come out and help celebrate 20th Pastoral Appreciation for Pastor George and Lady Lindsey Edge. The guest preachers for the week is as follows: Wed. Oct. 24, Elder Larry Franklin, Nazarene COGIC, Buena Vista; Thurs. Oct. 25, Dr. Lawrence E. Blakey, Judah Temple COGIC, Stone Mountain,; Friday, Oct. 26, Pastor Shirley Strawter, St. John & St. Mark A.M.E., Plains, service begins each night at 7p.m. Climaxing service is 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 26 with Pastor Brad Hamby of Opelika, Alabama.



Cobb



Lakeview Baptist Church

Homecoming will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 21 with Rev. Howard Scott as speaker. Lunch follows the service, and Glorybound of Cordele will provide special music after lunch. There’s no evening service.



DeSoto



Big Bethel Baptist Church

The church will be celebrating their Pastors first anniversary for Pastor Stephen Collier. The celebration will begin nightly at 7: 30 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 23 will feature Rev. Calvin James of St. John Baptist Church. Wednesday will feature Rev. Jesse Watts, of New Zion, Shady Grove and New Piney Grove and Thursday will feature Rev. James Thomas,   Friendship Baptist. We will climax at 11 a.m. Sunday October 28 with Rev. Dr. Kenneth Miller of Albany. Everyone is invited.





Zion Hope Baptist Church

The church will celebrate Mission and Usher anniversary the 3rd Sunday Oct. 21. The celebration starts at 3 p.m. The speaker will be Kim Merritt of Spring Creek Baptist Church . The speaker for the ushers will be Rosemary Jones of New Beulah Baptist. Rev. W.R. campbell will bring the message. The public are invited to attend.



Ellaville



William Grove Baptist Church

The church will present a Gospel Singing at 5 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 in observence of the 9th Pastoral appreciation for Rev. Michael B. Edge. Featured on program Doris Sims and the Spiritual Singers, The Chosen Ones, Dexter Davis, First Salem Baptist Church Choir, Evangelist Angela and Ishmael McKinstry, Freddie Mann, Jr. and William Grove Baptist Church Mass Choir. Linda Merrell will serve as the Mistress of Ceremony. The public is invited to "come out and sing praises unto his holy name."  Evangelist Vernita Sampson is the program chairperson and Rev. Michael B. Edge is pastor.

St. John Baptist Church

 The 2012 Thanksgiving Gospel Fest will be held at 5 p.m. Nov. 24. The program will feature The Sumter Co. Community Workshop Choir under the direction of Bro. Jessie Mickey Smtih (keyboard) and Brenda Alford. For more information contact Smith at (229) 938-6310 and Sister Brenda McCray-Alford at (229) 942-3169. We will have our first meeting Sunday at 4 p.m. Oct. 21 for anyone interested in being part of the Workshop Choir. Meet us at Freedom Harvest Worship Center in Leslie.

 



Leslie United Methodist Church

Our Fall Festival will be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 28th. There will be new games, Prizes, bingo and hot dogs. It’s fun for the whole family! Please bring a friend and don’t forget to wear your Holloween costume. For more information contact Laura Cheek  at 942-4766.



Freedom Harvest Worship Center, Inc.

Spiritual Renewal will be held at 7 p.m. Friday. It’s Women Night but men are invited to help us celebrate. Minister Pamela Harris is guest speaker (New Beulah Church). At 5 p.m. Saturday Youth Explosion will be held. The program features Alderica Swain & The True Worshippers in Concert and Pastor Courtney Moore of Kingdom of Heaven Ministry Guest Speaker The Youth for all churches are invited to participate in dancing, singing. At 3 p.m. Sunday Men Day will be held. Women are Invited to help celebrate. Pastor Douglas Currington and Palms 27 Worship Center is guest speaker. The public Is Invited.

Greater New Lebanon Baptist Church

Tuesday Night Live will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 23. Speaker of the hour is Evangelist Anthony Walker.



Antioch Missionary Baptist Church

The Usher Anniversary will be celebrated along with regular service Oct. 21. Sunday School starts at 10 a.m. Worship service is at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend.



Preston



New Hope Missionary Baptist Church



The pastor, officers and member of the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church cordially invites your entire church family to our annual Guest Day and Parade of States program. This program will be held Sunday October 28 along with regular order of services at 10:30 a.m. praise service starts at 9:15 a.m., Sunday school at 9:30 a.m. Our very own Rev. Ronald G.
