AMERICUS — Americus

Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church

Fall Revival is 7 p.m. Nov. 13-15. Speakers are Tuesday, the Rev. Veronica Lewis, pastor of St. Phillip A.M.E. Church, Butler; Wednesday, the Rev. Ruby Youngblood, pastor of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Buena Vista; and Thursday, the Rev. Sherryl Harris Sneed, pastor of Peters Chapel A.M.E. Church, Columbus. The public is invited.



United House Of Prayer Inc.

The church, at 601 Beale St., has changed its times to Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and worship at 10:30 a.m.



New Jerusalem Baptist Church

The annual candlelight march is at 5 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Jesse Watts as guest minister.



Old Shady Grove Baptist Church

The 28th anniversary of the Rev. Jesse Watts is observed at 11 a.m. Sunday. All churches and friends are invited and dinner will be served.



New Mount Mariah  Baptist Church

Men and Women Day is Sunday with Sunday School at 10:30 a.m. and worship at 11:30 a.m. The pastor, the Rev. Leon Pace, delivers the pastoral sermon. Deacon Stanley White of Bethlehem Baptist Church, is speaker. Everyone is invited.



Welcome Baptist Church

Brother Freddie Mann Jr. and other musicians are honored at 3 p.m. Sunday. Everyone is invited.



Southwest Georgia Association Church

A Youth Workshop starts at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, 1213 Douglas Circle. All moderators, pastors, women, laymen, youth and young people are invited.



World Church Ministries

The church’s eighth anniversary is celebrated at 7 p.m. today with the Rev. George Frank Monts, pastor of Zion Hope Baptist Church of Sumter City. At 11 a.m. Sunday, the speaker is Minister Jennifer Dawson of Warner Robins. Everyone is invited.



Prayer, Praise, Preach and Deliverance

Show Love Day is observed at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor Jeffery Lundy of Love and Kindness Ministries as speaker.



Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church

Harvest Sunday is observed at 4 p.m. Sunday with Dr. John Williams, pastor of Mountain Creek A.M.E. Church, Sumter County, and Mahalia Chapel A.M.E. Church, Buena Vista. Music provided by the Rev. Ronrica and Shannon Gordon. Theme is Christians Rejoicing at Harvest Time. Everyone is invited.



Bethel Baptist Church

“The Judgment House” is presented at 6:30 p.m. today through Saturday at the church, 846 Lane Store Road. This is a live portrayal of the events leading up to the second coming of Christ. The public is invited to this free event.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church

The church’s 122nd anniversary is celebrated at 11 a.m. Sunday. The public is invited.



Ellaville

William Grove Baptist Church

The ninth Pastoral Appreciation for the Rev. Michael B. Edge is today and Sunday. At 7:30 p.m. today, the Rev. George Monts and Zion Hope Baptist Church are in charge. At 11 a.m. Sunday, the Rev. Daniel Clinton and Shipp Baptist Church are in charge. The public is invited.



Jerusalem Baptist Church

Men and Women Day is observed Sunday with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Speaker is Minister Angela McKinstry of Buena Vista. Theme is Men and Women Praising God in Unison.

Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church

“Ladies Night Out In Red” is at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 with Pastor Shirley Strawter of Ty Ty. “Men Night Out” is at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 with Minister Colby McKenzie of Macon County. Charles Carr is host pastor.



Greater New Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church

Tuesday Night Live is held at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Pastor James Turner as speaker.



Lebanon Baptist Church

In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the Pastor Support Ministry hosts a Gospel Singing at 5 p.m. Nov. 18. Church choirs are invited to perform two selections.



Preston

New Hope Missionary Baptist Church

The annual Senior Citizens Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner is at noon Nov. 17 in the fellowship hall. Senior citizens, disabled, elderly, sick and shut-ins are invited.



Smithville

Mount Pleasant Baptist Church

The church’s 139th anniversary is observed Sunday with Sunday School at 10 a.m. followed by worship at 11 a.m. led by Apostle Henry Holsey. The 2:30 p.m. service is conducted by the Rev. W. James Hill and the Mount Zion Baptist Church of Leslie. Dinner will be served.



New Hope A.M.E. Church

A Pre-Thanksgiving Program is at 3 p.m. Sunday. Speakers are Carolyn Wilson, Debra Clemons, Dr. Kendra Huff, Bernice Brown, Canyon Frederick, Jean King, Dorothy Dot McCray, Carolyn Ford, Shirley Walton, Shannon Gordon, Mamie Gay, Mary Ann Holloway and Tierra Floyd. The Rev. Ronrica and Shannon Gordon render the music and refreshments will be served.
