Americus Class of 1960 plans 50th reunion

The Americus High School Class of 1960 is making special plans for its 50th Class Reunion. On Feb. 26, some 22 members of the planning committee held their first planning meeting. The date was set and the place where the reunion will be held has been decided. Another meeting was held on Feb. 27 for more planning.

Those on the committee from Ellaville are Patricia Bivins and Nancy McMath Young. I was asked to join the class reunion planning session because I attended school in Americus until 8th grade, when I moved to Ellaville with my family and graduated in 1960 in Ellaville.

More information will be announced as our reunion is being planned. This well be a very exciting reunion.
