A special trip to Florida
On Nov. 10, Sammy and Mary Nan Pilcher and Murray, and Angie McMickle left for Parkland, Fla., going especially to keep the Pilchers’ granddaughters Kayla , and Sarah Sanseverino.
These sweet girls’ parents, Mike and Cynthia Pilcher Sanseverino, went to New York for a week, celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary. What a nice trip, and how to celebrate your anniversary.
Mary Nan said that they truly had a good time and enjoyed being with the girls. She said that they went to the beach as well.
I'm sure that when the girls were in school that the Pilchers and McMickles had a good time just being with each other and going places, and just relaxing as well
Out-of-town guests
On Nov. 25, Joe and Iris Memendez and their son Jacob of Spartanburg , S.C., arrived to be guests of Wilbur and Vicki Justice, coming especially for the Thanksgiving holidays. They always come to be with Iris' family on Thanksgiving.
They left on Saturday, Nov. 28.
It's always nice when families get together on holidays.
Perfect Care resident
On Nov. 20, Hazel Ellis Palmer was transferred to Perfect Care from Magnolia Manor.
Hazel is some better, and will still be having therapy as she had at the Manor. This transfer has not only made Hazel feel better, but her family as well.
She came home on Thanksgiving for about four hours and enjoyed being with her family.
She has two good friends at Perfect Care as well: Jeanette Peede and Hazel Ellis from Ellaville.
We are all so happy that Hazel is doing well enough to have been moved to Perfect Care.
Special thanks to all of you
Neil Snyder and The Pizza Place want to thank each and every one of you that donated food and your time to help serve the Community Thanksgiving Dinner. They served around 130 people and had entertainment this year as well.
This is a special day of love that is shared with our community of friends. This was our second year having our Community Thanksgiving Dinner and everyone seemed to have really enjoyed it so much.
So again let us say thank you for those that prepared the food and the ones that volunteered to help us serve and work in the kitchen as well.
The community in return would like to thank Neil Snyder and The Pizza Place for thinking of others who need a touch of love given to them by giving food, love and care on this special day, Thanksgiving Day.
Had stroke
I just heard about a week ago that Murray Ellis had a stroke in October. He's home and in the bed most all the time now. Margaret said that he's eating better now.
We all wish Murray a speedy recovery. Our prayers and thoughts will be with Murray and Margaret.
Home for the holidays
Janet Dobbs arrived Nov. 25 to spend Thanksgiving with her mother, Mildred Dobbs and other family members. They all enjoyed a family Thanksgiving dinner at the home of Dan and Brenda Todds.
Janet returned to her home in Atlanta on Sunday after Thanksgiving.
Special Thanksgiving guests
Thanksgiving Day, Mike and Cynthia Sanseverino and daughters Kayla and Sarah arrived for Thanksgiving weekend with Cynthia’s parents. Sammy and Mary Nan Pilcher. They left to return home on Sunday. It's a eight-hour drive from here to their home in Florida.
Cynthia and her family try to always come home for all holidays. There's no place like home .
