AMERICUS —
Happy New Year 2013
To special people such as yourselves, a year has come and gone and we are starting over again.
Let's all start this year with a closer relationship with God, our immediate family, extended family and friends.
Always remember when you have a true friend they don't have to be seen to know that they are there. So let's all get together and pray for our country as well as ourselves by walking hand-in-hand with God.
Just remember “love comes on angels’ wings.”
We all here in our home want to wish all of you a blessed and Happy New Year. — Bobby, Nancy McMath Young and Frederick Young
Ellaville saddened at death of former friend
Our community is saddened to have heard of the death of Linda Pilcher Easom of Americus. Linda died on Dec. 15. She was well known when she ran Planters Hardware on the corner across the street from the Ellaville United Methodist Church. This was part of the big Planters downtown. She ran this part of Planters for her brother, the late Bob Pilcher of Ellaville.
Linda was married to George Easom of Americus. They and their children lived in Sumter County. Linda is survived by her husband and children as well as three sisters, Patricia Thornrose, Sue Pilcher and Debbie Pilcher, all of Americus and one brother Sammy (Mary Nan) Pilcher of Ellaville and a sister-in-law Linda Pilcher of Ellaville and a number of nieces and nephews.
Linda was a very kind and sweet person and we all will be keeping her family in our prayers.
