ELLAVILLE —

Enclosed is a quote that I'm sending to all of you.
“Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.”
So I'm asking you to be my Valentine today.

Community saddened by death of local resident
Our community is sad to have heard of the death of Tim Whaley. Tim died on Saturday, Feb. 4 at his home.
Tim was raised here in Ellaville. He was well known and everyone here loved him.
There was a Memorial Service held for Tim at 4 p.m. Feb. 11 here at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home.
Tim will always be remembered as a really friendly person. He would speak to everyone if he knew you or not.
Tim was the son of the late Harvey Hill Whaley and Virginia Rainey Whaley. His late brother was Tommy Whaley.
Tim was married to Pam Young Whaley and is survived by a daughter P.J. Wilson and her husband Jesse; a sister Robbie Anne Woolbright and husband Charlie of Cordele; two granddaughters, Avery and Austin, and a sister-n-law Rosaland Whaley, all of Ellaville.
Let's keep the Whaley family in our prayers.
A surprise visit from relatives
Everything was going as usual on Saturday, Feb. 4 when a knock came on the door.
Frederick answered it, and it was Bobby’s cousin and his wife, Eddie and Effie Mae Goodman of Fitzgerald. They arrived about 10 a.m.
They came up just to see us for a day’s visit. Thank goodness we have a deli at the Piggly Wiggly. We went up and got our lunch. Without any restaurant, we are in a mess.
It's always a pleasure to have family and friends to pop in and visit with us. Bobby, Frederick and I surely did enjoy this surprise visit with family.
