• Firefighters responded to an unintentional alarm on Vista Drive.

• Firefighters responded to an electrical problem on East Forsyth Street.

Arrests

• Hakeem D. Barthell, 17, of 302 Mayo St., Americus is charged with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers, and was jailed.

• Brandon K. Douglas, 20, of 2008 Armory Drive, Americus is charged with speeding, failure to have license on person, possession of marijuana and obstruction of law enforcement officers ,and was jailed.

• Benjamin Reddick, 52, of 158 Blacksmith Road, DeSoto is charged with theft by shoplifting ,and was jailed.

• Marquis C. Smith, 28, of 144 Ga. Highway 308, Plains is charged with disorderly conduct, obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and terrorist threats and acts, and was jailed.

• Theft by taking was reported on Brannan Avenue where electric carpentry tools were taken.

• Forgery was reported on East Forsyth Street.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Hudson Street.

• Theft by shoplifting was reported at Wal-mart on East Lamar Street.

• Burglary was reported on Horton Drive where an iPad was taken.

• Burglary was reported on West Church Street where a laptop computer was taken.

• Entering an auto was reported on Elm Avenue where a purse containing personal belongings and identification cards was taken.

• Criminal trespass was reported on East Lamar Street.

• Burglary was reported on Winn Street where a stove was taken.

• Entering an auto was reported on Church Street where an iPad and an iPod were taken.

• Entering an auto was reported on Elm Avenue where two shotguns valued at $500 each were taken.

• Hit and run was reported on East Hill Street.

• Burglary was reported on Bozeman Circle where a DVD player and CD player were taken.

Arrest

• Ra’shad C. Maxwell, 32, of 109 Shady Lane, Americus is charged with excessive volume from radio within a motor vehicle, and was jailed.



Sumter County Fire Department



• Firefighters assisted EMS on six calls.

• Firefighters responded to a carbon monoxide alarm activation on Carter Fish Pond Road.



Schley County Sheriff’s Office



Arrest

• Bertha T. Miller, 42, of 149 Northside Drive, Ellaville is charged with stalking, and was jailed.



Sumter County Sheriff’s Office

Arrests

• Marco C. Styles, 45, of 411 Crawley St., Americus is charged with driving while unlicensed, and was jailed.

• Cramesia C. Dice, 29, of 113 Beatty St., DeSoto is charged with deposit account fraud/bad checks, and was released on bond.

• Shaneice L. McCoy, 24, of 69-D Cherokee St., Americus is charged with driving while unlicensed and on suspended registration, and was released on bond.

• Ahshaunti D. Oneal, 20, of 730 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked and speeding, and was released on bond.

• Brittany M. Oneal, 28, of Macon is charged with deposit account fraud, and was released on bond.



Incidents

• A suspicious vehicle was reported on Bone Road.

• Theft was reported on Ron Circle and North Spring Creek Road.

• A suspicious person was reported on U.S. Highway 280 East.

• Forgery was reported on Bumphead Road.



Webster County Sheriff’s Office



Arrest

• John G. Christian, 38, of Wilson Pond Road, Preston is charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane, and was jailed.
