AMERICUS — Americus Police Department



Arrests

• Antwan F. Bridges, 36, of 221 Burton Circle, Americus is charged with aggravated battery, obstruction or hindering law enforcement and probation violation and was jailed.

• Rodrick L. Johnson, 22, of Quincy St., Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Joseph W. Nelson, 62, of 1703 Armroy Drive, Americus is charged DUI, collision with unattended vehicle and disorderly conduct and was jailed.



Sumter County Fire Department

• Firefighters assisted EMS five calls.

• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Ga. Forest Road.

Arrests

• Anita Brown, 42, of 918 Hooks Mill Road, Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Charles W. Pennington, 24 of 1308 Ridge St., Americus is charged with driving while license suspended, open container and failure to yield after stopping at stop sign and was jailed.

• Samual R. Cowan, 27, of 214 Springtree Road, Athens is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Wandrea K. Harris, 38, of 314 North Mayo St., Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

 

Incidents

• Theft was reported on Parker’s crossing Road.

• Damage to property was reported on Myrtle Springs Road.

• Domestic disturbance was reported on Ginger Drive.

• A missing child was reported on Tallent Store Road.





Webster County Sheriff’s Office



Arrests

• Carl L. Powell, 33, of 5250 Ga. Highway 41 N., Preston is charged with possession of marijuana and was jailed.
