Arrests

• Johnny C. Barker, 56, of 205 E. Rockhill Subdivision, Americus is charged with theft by shoplifting and non-compliance, and was jailed.

• Travis G. Goober, 37, of 403 Rogers St., Americus is charged with probation violation and failure to pay child support, and was jailed.

• Eric C. Hardy, 30, of 128 Highland Drive, Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked and driving while declared a habitual violator, and was jailed.

• Joseph J. Hill, 27, of 229 Horton Drive, Americus is charged with battery, and was jailed.

• Durante P. Nimmons, 20, of 909 Ridge St., Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

• Jimmy L. Westbrook, 25, of 311 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

• Leonardo D. Williams, 47, of 1753 Ga. Highway 49 South, Americus is charged with failure to pay child support, and was jailed.

• Animal complaints were reported on Burton Circle and South Lee Street.

• Hit and run was reported on U.S. Highway 280 West, Prince Street and South Lee Street.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Murphy Mill Road.

• Entering an auto and criminal trespass were reported on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Burglary was reported at Perry Wellness Center on East Furlow Street.

• Burglary and criminal damage to property were reported on Hosanna Circle.

• Theft by taking was reported on East Lamar Street.

• An animal complaint was reported on Cotton Avenue.

• Theft by shoplifting was reported on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Patterson Street.

• Failure to report a traffic accident was reported on Tripp Street.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Knollwood Drive.

• An unruly juvenile was reported on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Felder and East Lamar streets.

• Shaquel T. Hawkins, 22, of 811 Ridge St., Americus is charged with DUI, knowingly driving a motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration, obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and failure to maintain lane, and was released on bond.

• Andrew D. Smith, 21, of 173 Lakeview Drive, Cobb is charged with burglary, and was jailed.
