• Marcus D. Hardy, 23, of 126 Foster St., DeSoto is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Reginald C. Mitchell, 21, of 106 Garden Lane, Americus is charged with theft by taking and was released on bond.

• Ryan C. Tyner, 18, of 217 Horton Drive Apt. A, Americus is charged with theft by taking and driving while unlicensed and was jailed.

• Francisco Munoz, 22, of 415 W. Church St., Plains is charge with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers, disorderly conduct an non-compliance and was jailed.



Sumter County Fire Department



• Firefighters assisted EMS on 12 calls.

• Firefighters responded to a structure at U.S. Highway 19 South and Albany Dawson annex.

• Art Bryant, 60, of 1973 Ga. Highway 195, Leesburg is charged with failure to appear in court and was jailed.

• Kameron W. Kennedy, 24, of 157 Lincoln Lane, Cataula is charged with probation violation and was released with fine paid.

• Roy R. Rutherford, 52, of 479-B Middle River Road, Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Ray Whitt, 55, of 1401 Austin St., LaGrange is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Cleveland R. Watts, 22, of 177 Mitchell St., DeSoto is charged with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and driving while license suspended/revoked and was released on bond.

• Tony Cross, 52, of 286 Graystone Place, Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Eva J. Jackson, 53, of 88 Dixon Drive, Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• Bryant Tyner, 25, of  217 Poplar St., Americus is charged with probation violation and was jailed.

• A missing person was reported on Riverside Drive.

• Cruelty to children was reported on Ridge Street.

• Domestic disturbance was reported on Jade Road.

• An abandoned vehicle was reported on U.S. Highway 280 East.

• Burglary was reported on Crumton Drive.

• Domestic disturbance was reported on U.S. Highway 19 South and U.S. Highway 280 West.

• An abandoned vehicle was reported at Mask Road and South Lee Street.

• Livestock in road was reported at Mask Road and Hooks Mill Road.

• Theft was reported on Thomas Street.
