AMERICUS — Americus Fire and Emergency Services

• Firefighters responded to medical call on Knollwood Drive. Upon arrival, the patient was sitting inside. EMS arrived on scene. EMS took patient care and advised no further assistance was needed.

• Firefighters responded to an alarm activation on East Forsyth Street. Upon arrival, firefighters made contact with manager who advised no smoke or fire had been found in the building. The alarm had reset itself and all was clear inside the structure. Firefighters proceeded to check back room and storage area for hazards and none were found. Firefighters advised manager to call maintenance and have alarm system checked.

• Firefighters responded to a medical emergency on Bessie May Circle. Upon arrival, EMS was found on scene and advised that no further assistance was needed. Firefighters returned to service.

• A false alarm was reported on West Lamar Street.

• Firefighters assisted EMS on Lafayette and South Lee Streets.

• Firefighters responded to what was dispatched as a person down on South Lee Street. Upon arrival Americus Police Department was found on scene. The Americus Police Department advised patient was intoxicated. EMS arrived on scene and advised no further assistance was needed.

• Adrian Kentrell Battle, 29, of 125 Bronco Drive, Americus is charged with obstructing or hindering law enforcement officers and burglary, was jailed.

• Brittany Nicole Battle, 21, of 218 McCoy St., Americus is charged with contempt of court, and was jailed.

• Isaiah Corrie Bell, 22, of 408 Rogers St., Americus is charged with contempt of city court, and was jailed.

• Johnny Lamar Jackson, 26, of 186 Lexington Drive, Americus is charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and was jailed.

• Larry Johnson, 30, of 950 Brookdale Drive, Americus is charged with contempt of court, and was jailed.

• Stacey Elenzer Journey, 17, of 918th 20th St., Phenix City, Ala. is charged with contempt of court, and was jailed.

• Jack Duncan Nicholson, 23, of 1034 Elm Ave. Apt. 5B, Americus is charged with non-compliance and was released to the Americus Police Department.

• Joann Merritt Patillo, 50, of 220 S. Lester St., Americus is charged with contempt of court, and was jailed.

• Sergio Escobar Perez, 32, of U.S. Highway 280, Lot 60, Americus is charged with removing or affixing license plate with intent to conceal or misrepresent, failure to obey signs or control devices, knowingly driving motor vehicle on suspended, canceled or revoked registration, driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to maintain insurance, and was released to U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement.

• Lekeisha Lachelle Pride, 23, of 411 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with contempt of court, and was released with fines paid.

• Stephanie Lynn Strickland, age unknown, of 100 Page Drive, Americus is charged with open container, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

• Edward Thomas, 55, of 115 Virginia Dare Drive, A, Warner Robins is charged with contempt of court, and was jailed.

• Kerri Untch, 52, of 1103 Felder St., Americus is charged with theft by shoplifting, and was released on bond.

• Chatley Latrice Yancie, 22, of 3003 Roney St., Americus is charged with contempt of court, and was released with fines paid.



Incidents

• Financial transaction card fraud was reported at Harvey’s Supermarket on Prince Street. Various goods valued at $40.41 were taken.

• Burglary and theft by taking were reported at Eastview Church on Ashby Street. One Dell desktop CPU monitor worth $700, one Dazzle DVD recorder worth $100, one Magnavox DVD/VHS dual recorder and player worth $150, one video mixer worth $300, one Pro Image 5-inch black and white TV/radio worth $50, one 13-inch color TV worth $100, one DVD/VHS recorder and player worth $100, five floral image pictures in dark wood frames worth $150 and two framed mirrors worth $100 were taken.

• Theft by taking and criminal trespass were reported on Armory Drive.

• Terroristic threats were reported on North Lee Street.

• Theft by taking was reported on McCoy Street. A black Highpoint CF380 semi auto pistol worth $119 was taken.

• Firefighters assisted Vital Care with patient care on Old Dawson Road.

Arrests

• Gromakio Baldwin, 19, of 160 Eldric Road, Columbus is charged with holding for United States Marshal Service, and was jailed.

• Kenneth Dewayne Jones, 42, of 2717 4th Ave. S., Birmingham, Ala. is being held for Jefferson Co. So., Alabama.

• Calvin Tullis, 50, of 147 B Jenkins Road, Americus is charged with bench warrant, and was jailed.



Incidents

• A domestic problem was reported on Jenkins Road.

• An accident involving a deer was reported on South Georgia Tech Parkway.

• An alarm activation was reported on Mayfire Drive.

• Harassing phone calls were reported on Harold Avenue.

• Animal complaints were reported on Jade Road and Pecan Circle.

• Theft was reported on Arch Helmes Road.
