Arrests
• Eric Davonn Tomblin, 20, of Thomasville is charged with obstruction and criminal trespass.
• Kenson Hunt, 20, of 606 Eastview Drive, Americus was arrested, as the result of a warrant sworn out for his arrest by city probation services.
• Zackary Taylor Denney, 21, of 1130 Felder St.. 8-K, Americus is charged with open container not in vehicle.
Incidents
• Runaway (juvenile) and unruly juvenile were reported at a Barlow Street residence.
• Hit and run traffic accident was reported at an Oglethorpe Avenue establishment.
• Theft by taking was reported at Smoke House Barbecue, 116 N. Jackson St. According to reports, a wooden bench with two wagon wheels for arm rests valued at $80 was stolen.
• Theft by taking was reported at a Parker Street residence. According to reports, a license plate was stolen.
• Theft by taking was reported at Winn Dixie, 1206 Crawford St. According to reports, a cordless drill and a screwdriver/hammerdrill with case and battery were stolen.
• Hit and run traffic accident was reported in the Americus Village parking lot.
• Burglary was reported at Dollar General in Wheatley Plaza. According to reports, a box of Three Musketeers candy bars and a box of 100-pack Sugar Babies candy were missing.

Accident
• Troopers investigated an accident around 6:10 p.m. Sunday on Ga. Highway 520 in Terrell County.
According to the GSP, Chad L. Walz, 23, of Auburn, Ala., and Tabitha Marie Jones, 30, of Columbus, were both traveling west on Ga. Highway 520. Walz was driving a 2004 Dodge 3500, and Jones was driving a 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
According to reports, Jones slowed her vehicle to avoid hitting a dog that was crossing the travel lanes of Ga. Highway 520. Walz was unable to slow enough and struck Jones’ vehicle in the rear. The area of impact was in the outside lane of Ga. Highway 520.
No citations or charges were issued, and Jones and her passenger, Vera Nicole Jones, 20, of Columbus, were transported with injuries to Palmyra Park Hospital, Albany by Terrell EMS.

Accident
• Deputies investigated an accident around 8 p.m. Monday on Ga. Highway 308 near Yankee Road. The accident resulted in one injury.
According to reports, Cedric Dante Tyson of 144 Ga. Highway 308, Plains was driving east on Ga. Highway 308 in a 2006 GMC Yukon, when he dropped his cell phone.
He attempted to retrieve his cell phone, and he traveled off the right side of the roadway, striking a tree.
He and his passenger, James Williams of 746 Wise Road, Plains, were taken to Sumter Regional East by Vital Care EMS, according to reports. No citations or charges were issued.

• Kenyota Marie Peterson, 17, of 138 Charleston Drive, Americus is charged with disorderly conduct. She was released on bond.
• Corey Terrell Lockett, 24, of 172 Buttercup Lane, Americus is charged with probation violation. He was jailed.
• Judy Key, 41, of Albany was arrested on a bench warrant. She was jailed.
• Arthur Primrose Tissue, 43, of Warrick was arrested on bench warrant. He was jailed.
• Catalino Carrillo-Lucas, 34, of 298 Brady Road, Lot 10, Americus is charged with simple battery.
Citations
• Mary Nell Lewis, 55, of 526 Grantham St., Americus is charged with seat belt violation.
• Robert Eugene Jenning Jr., 27, of Leesburg is charged with speeding.
• Daniel Beckwith, no age or address provided, is charged with running a stop sign.
• Timothy Aultman, no age or address provided, is charged with running a stop sign.
Incidents
• An animal-related accident was reported on U.S. Highway 280 East near mile marker 20.
• Juvenile complaint was reported at a Charleston Drive residence.
• Harassing phone calls were reported at an Indian Road residence.
• Illegal dumping was reported on Old Plains Highway property.
• Domestic disturbance was reported at a U.S. Highway 280 East residence.
• Loose livestock was reported on Ga. Highway 49 North.
• Neighbor dispute was reported at a Marigold Drive residence.
• Domestic disturbance was reported at a Ginger Driver residence.
• A dead on arrival case was reported at a Dogwood Drive residence. Sumter County Coroner Greg Hancock said the woman’s death was due to “natural causes,” and the body was not sent for an autopsy.
• Theft was reported at a Johnson Street residence in Andersonville. According to reports, a variety of tools valued at $600, rod and reel combinations valued at $135 and a tackle box with various lures valued at $75 were reported stolen.

• Nathaniel Harvey, no age or address provided, is charged with probation violation. He was incarcerated at the Sumter County Jail.
