AMERICUS — Americus Fire and Emergency Services



• Firefighters responded to medical calls on Westside Drive, Rainbow Terrace and East Forsyth Street.

• Firefighters responded to a fire on Lacross Road. The fire was controlled and the land owner had a Georgia Forestry Burn Number.

Arrests

• Tony A. Tyson, 40, of 1605 Lafayette St., Americus is charged with hit and run, leaving the scene of an accident, driving on the wrong side of the roadway and failure to maintain lane. He was released on a summons to appear.

• Roger D. Sterrett, 44, of 149 S. Village Drive, Andersonville is charged with theft by deception and was jailed.

• Keelan Bryant, 27, of 509 N. Mayo St., Americus is charged with terroristic threats and was jailed.

• Edward Cook, 32, of 1302 Ridge St., Americus is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and was jailed.

• Quincy Robinson, 18, of 615 Lewis Lowe Court, Americus is charged with non-compliance.



Incidents

• A juvenile was arrested for simple battery at a residence on Douglas Circle.

• Theft by taking was reported at residences on Barnum Drive and West Forsyth Street.

• Domestic disturbances were reported at residences on Douglas Circle, North Mayo Street and Armory Drive.

• Criminal trespass was reported on Magnolia Court.

• Harassing phone calls were reported at a residence on Park Row Extension.
