Arrests

• Alex Bince, 24, of 74-B Barbara Battle Way, Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

• Dwayne H. Clemons, 44, of 120 Appleblossom Lane, Americus is charged with obstruction, and was jailed.

• Eric D. Hodges, 20, of 158 Old Stage Road, Andersonville is charged with theft by taking, and was jailed.

• Latorri D. Spann, 24, of Stone Mountain is charged with obstruction and giving false information to officers, and was jailed.

• A juvenile was charged with hit and run, failure to maintain, colliding with a fixed object and driving while unlicensed.



Incidents

• Burglary was reported at Fred’s Auto, 926 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., where four car batteries and two power saw were reported stolen from vehicles.

• Harassing phone calls were reported at a Horton Drive residence.

• A domestic disturbance was reported at a Fulton Street residence.

• A juvenile problem was reported at a Magnolia Village Apartments residence.

• A stunt bike was reported stolen at an East Furlow Street residence.



Sumter County Fire Department

• Firefighters responded to a car fire on U.S. Highway 19 South. The fire was out upon their arrival, according to the report.

• Sean A. Bridges, 24, of 209 Ga. Highway 240, Ellaville is charged with felony theft by taking, and was jailed.

• Kene N. Davis, 18, of 1311 Salter’s Mill Road, Plains is charged with felony theft by taking, and was jailed.

• Megan E. Devane, 20, of 534 Tallent Store Road, Americus is charged with giving false information to law enforcement, and was jailed.

• Shalisa L. Dodson, 23, of 117 Tom Hall Circle, Americus is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.

• Carlton J. Drew, 26, of 503 Edwins St., Montezuma is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, battery (Family Violence Act), convicted felon possessing a firearm, second-degree criminal damage to property, burglary and four counts of cruelty to children, and was jailed.

• Paul C. Easterlin, 49, of 246 Indian Road, Americus is charged with cruelty to children and third-degree cruelty to children (third or subsequent offense), and was jailed.

• Amanda A. Hodges, 19, of 246 Lot J Ga. Highway 49 South, Americus is charged with giving false information to law enforcement, and was jailed.

• William Powell, 49, of Richland is charged with probation violation and obstruction, and was jailed.

• Monise N. Wilson, 23, no address provided, is charged with failure to obey stop sign, operating an unregistered vehicle and driving while license is suspended.
