AMERICUS — Americus Fire and Emergency Services

• Firefighters were dispatched to call of person in distress. Upon arrival, firefighters were not able to locate subject and returned to service.

• Firefighters provided medical assistance on Jefferson Street.

Arrests

• Dwayne Henry Clemons, 44, of 120 Apple Blossom Lane, Americus is charged with burglary, entering an auto with intent to commit theft or felony, possession of tools for commission of a crime and criminal trespass, and was jailed.

• Gary Anthony Daniels, 20, of 243 E. Rock Hills Drive, Americus is charged with burglary and failure to appear, and was jailed.

• Quontavis Sims, 17, of 415 Poplar St., Americus is charged with obstruction of an officer, and was jailed.



Incidents

• Entering an auto was reported on Oglethorpe Avenue. A driver’s license, a black purse and a black bill fold were taken.

• Terroristic threats were reported on North Lee Street.

• Burglary was reported on Crawley Street. One 50-inch Sanyo plasma HDTV worth $750 was taken.

• Harassing phone calls were reported on Hosanna Circle.

• Theft by taking and criminal trespass were reported in Americus.  

• A domestic problem was reported on Dismuke Street.

• Burglary was reported on Starlight Circle. Nine dollars in currency was taken.

•  A deceased person was reported on East Jefferson Street.

Arrests

• Andrew Clinkscale, 51, of 319 Drayton St., Apt. B, Montezuma is charged with civil contempt, and was jailed.

• Veronica Shavon Milledge, 24, of 624 Felder St., Americus is charged with deposit account fraud/bad checks, and was released on bond.

Incidents

• A false alarm was reported at the Plains Medical Center on West Main Street.

• Theft by taking was reported at Ameri Green Environmental on Loop Road.

• Terroristic threats and acts were reported on U.S. Highway 280.

• Disruption in public school and simple battery were reported at Americus Sumter High School’s South Campus on Harold Avenue.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported on Georgia Forest Road.

• Criminal trespass was reported on U.S. Highway 280.

• Theft was reported on East Rockhill Drive.

• A domestic problem was reported on Rockdale Sub. Loop.

•  Battery was reported on Wiggins Road.
