AMERICUS —
The stage is set for an express speed car wash and free vacuum in Americus. At 1550 E. Forsyth St., in three minutes, customers can enjoy rapid cleaning and gleaming presentation of their vehicles with Goo-Goo Car Wash services.
Weeks after deciding to locate its 27th Goo-Goo Car Wash store in Americus, plans were underway for the Grand Opening Friday and Saturday. Vice President of Development, Jack Ginter and location manager, Milton Stembridge, have put together a program for the weekend that is sure to lead to repeat customers. To promote their belief in education and especially Sumter County Schools, all vehicles will receive a free wash during this Grand Opening celebration weekend. Ginter is asking that donations for the services be made to The Americus High School Singers who will greet customers on Forsyth Street. With banners, flags, the Panther Mascot, ensemble and full-group renditions, the popular group will be on location to entertain customers as they detour and drive through to enjoy a cleaner vehicle.
"We have joined the Americus (and Sumter County) Chamber of Commerce. It is quite important that Goo-Goo Express Car Wash mesh with the existing leadership of a new location. We sought a local group of students to benefit on this first weekend of operation in Americus. The Americus High Singers were highly recommended to us. We have met with Director Brad Bunce and the program is already in place. We look for a fun time of celebration as they partner to invite customers to our new store. They will be providing greetings, an information piece and entertainment for our customers," said Ginter.
In addition to the 3 Minute Express Wash plan, more detailed services are available. The management encourages church attendance and is not open on Sunday. The phone number for the location is 944-4540. Hours of operation are 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
