Afghanistan will be discussed at seminar

AMERICUS — "U.S. Policy Toward Pakistan and Afghanistan” is the subject of Georgia Southwestern State University’s (GSW) Third World seminar at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. The forum will be held in Room 301 of the Roney Building.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this free program.

The forum will feature three speakers who teach in the GSW Department of History and Political Science: Richard C. Hall, Ph.D., professor of history, “Background and Overview of U.S. Policy;” Brian R. Parkinson, Ph.D., assistant professor of history, “U.S. Policy Toward Pakistan;” and Brian Smith, Ph.D., assistant professor of political science, “U.S. Policy Toward Afghanistan.” A question and answer session will follow speaker presentations. The seminar is co-sponsored by the Department of History and Political Science, the Georgia Southwestern Foundation, the Division Continuing Education, and the Association of Third World Studies Inc.
