AMERICUS —
Little Caesars Pizza is celebrating the grand opening of its newest restaurant in Americus. The new local owners, Chris and Leatha Camp, along with their business partners Scott Hester and Brannon Floyd opened their Little Caesars restaurant at 1116 E. Lamar St. in Americus. They currently also own and operate the Dublin and Cordele locations. Future plans include to develop a store in Perry.
“Customers continue to have higher standards for quality and service, and we’re ready to exceed them,” said franchise owner Leatha Camp. “Quality products and friendly service are our top priorities.”
“Little Caesars is well known for its great value, quick service, quality ingredients, and tremendous appeal to families. We look forward to serving the residents of Americus with delicious Little Caesars Pizza,” said Little Caesars National vice president, Franchise Services, Dave Gray.
Saturday will be Family Fun Day with games and prizes for kids’ as well special appearance and free photo opportunity by Little Caesar.
Radio station 98.7 WISK-FM will also be there between 11 a.m.-1 p.m. giving away prizes including t-shirts and free pizza gift cards.

Ru Story-Huffman named dean of GSW’s James Earl Carter Library
Ru Story-Huffman, interim dean of the James Earl Carter Library at Georgia Southwestern State University, was officially named dean. Prior to her role as interim dean, Story-Huffman served as reference librarian and government information coordinator at the Carter Library. She succeeds Vera Weisskopf who retired in March 2012.
