Albany — Sumter County Commissioner Al Hurley has been found guilty on one count of attempted extortion and one count of federal program bribery.
He will remain free on bond until he is sentenced in February.
Hurley was accused of attempting to extort $15,000 from a Michigan contractor in exchange for Sumter County work contracts.
