Annual Christmas Parade is Thursday downtown

AMERICUS — To help put everyone into the holiday spirit, the annual Christmas Parade, sponsored by the City of Americus and the Americus-Sumter County Chamber of Commerce, gets underway at 7 p.m. today in downtown Americus.

In addition to over 70 entries, there will also be Santa Claus riding on an Americus Fire truck to thrill the young at heart.
