He is “delighted to be at Calvary,” and will reside in Americus Wednesdays-Sundays, along with his faithful yellow lab, Isabelle.
Throughout the Lenten season, Fr. Buechner will be leading programs that follow the 6 p.m. Wednesday Holy Eucharist and Healing service and a soup and bread dinner. February 20, the topic was “The Two Most Destructive Ways We Think about Jesus;” February 27, the program was “Predestination;” March 6, “Striving & Prevailing with God and Men: How Jacob became Israel,” presented by The Rev. Gavin Dunbar from St. John’s, Savannah, and March 13, Fr. Buechner will lead, “The Evolution of the English Bible.”
