• Firefighters responded to a fire on Ga. Highway 377 near the Lee County line. It was a controlled burn.

• Firefighters responded to an unintentional alarm at an Old Hooks Road residence.

• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Lamar Street.

• Firefighters responded to a fire on Ga. Highway 30 West. It was a controlled burn.

• Firefighters responded to a clothes dryer fire at a Hosanna Circle residence.

• Firefighters responded to a mobile home fire on West Rockhill Drive.

Arrests

• A juvenile was charged with obstruction and underage consumption of alcohol at Lakeview Circle and Cherokee School.

• Juan Rosales, 21, of 109 Ga. Highway 49 South, Americus is charged with disorderly conduct. He was jailed.

• A juvenile was charged with curfew violation at a Sunset Drive residence.

• Crystal Lashon Hawkins, 24, of 204 Frieda Lane, Americus is charged with non-compliance.

• Michael Monts, 21, of 6-A Peach Circle, Americus is charged with theft by taking.

• Jose Rellez, 20, of 304 Brady Road, Lot 27, Americus is charged with battery/Family Violence Act. He was jailed.

• Tony Tyson, 48, of 229 Horton Drive, Americus is charged with battery/Family Violence Act.

• Ryan Alan Sapp, 18, of Rupert is charged with underage consumption/possession of alcohol.

• A juvenile was charged with underage consumption/possession of alcohol.

• Kyle Matthew Lewis, 18, of Butler is charged with DUI.

• Gayton Jake Saia III, 33, of 205-C 16th Green, Americus is charged with reckless and dangerous use of firearms and dangerous weapons

• James Lane, 19, of Butler is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked, DUI and failure to maintain lane.

• A juvenile was charged with being unruly, probation violation and disorderly conduct at a Hosanna Circle residence.

• Joseph Lee Sims, 24, of Americus is charged with criminal trespass. He was jailed.

• Crystal Wright, 19, of 426 S. Lee St., Americus is charged with theft by taking.

• Kelvin Darrell Streeter, 29, of 164-C Cooper Road, Leslie is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Nataisha Denise Wilson, 20, of 604-B Hawkins St., Americus is charged with criminal trespass.

• Robert McKinley, no age or address provided, is charged with aggravated sodomy, sexual assault against person in custody and sexual battery. He was jailed.



Incidents

• A 52-in. flat screen plasma TV was reported stolen from a Pine Avenue residence.

• Domestic disturbances were reported at residences on Lonnie Lane, Town Creek Circle, Horton Drive, Hudson Street, Davenport Street, Bessie Mays Circle and Sun Valley Drive.

• Terroristic threats were reported at Waffle House, 1207 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

• A Lockheed-Martin ID was found on Railroad Street.

• A Rucker Street resident told police he had been bitten by a dog.

• A bicycle was found outside Lake Blackshear Regional Library, 307 E. Lamar St.

• Theft by shoplifting was reported at D.J. Convenience Store, 1101 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

• Curfew violation was reported at a Sunset Drive residence.

• Individuals driving around throwing eggs were reported in the West Lester/North Jackson streets area.

• An assault was reported in the McCoy Street park area.

• Police conducted a security check at a Parker Street residence.

• A Westside Drive resident reported a stolen cell phone.

• Cash was reported stolen from a Patterson Street residence.

• A theft was reported at a Forrest Street residence.

• An underage person attempting to purchase alcohol was reported at Mike’s Party Center, 400 Tripp St.

• A cell phone was reported stolen at The Elks Club, 1203 N. Jackson St.

• A hit and run traffic accident was reported at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 1809 E. Lamar St.

• A gas drive-off was reported at Chevron Food Mart II, 1301 E. Lamar St.

• A radio, subwoofers and an amplifier were reported stolen from a vehicle at a North Mayo Street residence.

Cash was reported stolen from a Rucker Street residence.

• Criminal trespass was reported at an East Furlow Street residence.

• The City’s animal control officer responded to a report of a stray dog left inside a fenced area without food or water on Crawley Street. The animal was taken to the Sumter Humane Society animal shelter.

• The City’s animal control officer picked up a stray dog from a Dismuke Street residence and took it to the Sumter Humane Society animal shelter.

• A fight was reported at a South Jackson Street residence.

• A bicycle was reported stolen from a Rogers Street residence.

• A prowler was reported at a Douglas Circle residence.

• A recliner chair was reported stolen from a South Dudley Street residence.

• Harassing phone calls were reported at a Tom Gailey Drive residence.

• An East Church Street resident reported a lost cell phone.

• A woman told police she had been assaulted at Nappy Head Barber Shop, 505 N. Lee St.

• A hit and run traffic accident was reported on South Jackson Street.

• Criminal trespass was reported at Americus Self Storage, 101 Brady Road.

Arrest

• Taurus Cornelius Sampson, 32, of 104 James St., Americus is charged with possession of cocaine. He was jailed.

Accidents

• Traffic accidents involving deer were reported on Middle River Road near District Line Road; on Ga. Highway 30 West near Georgia Two-Way; on Salter’s Mill Road, Plains; and on Hooks Mill Road.



Arrests

• Mikel Hollar, 17, of 424 Wiggins Road, Smithville is charged with stalking and making harassing phone calls. He was jailed.

• Jerome Tyson, 43, of 187-B Loop Road, Plains is charged with public drunkenness. He was jailed.

• Jeffery Tyson, 36, of 127 Rainbow Terrace, Americus is charged with interference with government property, terroristic threats, probation violation and two counts of aggravated assault. He was jailed.

• Karen Holmes, 39, of Arabi is charged with five counts of financial transaction account fraud. She was jailed.

• Santos Diaz, 22 of 194 Young’s Mill Road, Americus is charged with DUI and driving while unlicensed. He was released on bond.

• Matthew Drake, 21, of 110 Harvey Adams Road, Americus is charged with theft by taking motor vehicle. He was jailed.

• James Harris, 46, of 258 Forrest St., Americus was arrested on a bench warrant and charged with probation violation. He was jailed.

• Paris Brown, 28, of 110 Holly Drive, Americus is charged with 12 counts of financial transaction account fraud, and was jailed.

• Deborah Mason, 21, of 104-E Williams Ave., Montezuma is charged with 22 counts of financial transaction account fraud. She was jailed.

• George Gonzales, 20, of Victoria, Texas is charged with speeding and driving without a license. He was jailed.

• James Ruff, 38, of 321 LaCrosse Road, Americus is charged with felony financial transaction account fraud. He was jailed.

• Deputies responded to a fire on West Rockhill Drive.

• There was reported of children in the roadway on Arch Helms Road throwing rocks and glass.

• Child abuse was reported at Wal-Mart Supercenter.

• A car in the ditch was towed from Renecker Road.

• Domestic disturbances were reported at residences on LaCrosse Road, Grover Road, Lakeridge Drive Extension and on Carter Fish Pond Road.

• A reckless driver was reported on U.S. Highway 280 East, Cobb.

• Drag racing was reported in the area of Young’s Mill and McMath Mill roads.

• Terroristic threats were reported at Lillian Carter Nursing Center, Plains.

• Criminal trespass was reported at a Crimson Street residence.

• Dirt bikes racing in the roadway were reported on Bumphead Road.

• An Andersonville resident reported receiving threats.

• Loud music was reported coming from a vehicle on Easy Street.

• Threats were reported at a Foster Street, DeSoto residence.

• Illegal dumping from a boat into the lake was reported off Flintside Drive, Cobb.

• Loud music was reported coming from a vehicle in Rockdale Subdivision.

• Loud party/music was reported on Lexington Circle.

• An assault was reported at 8 Inn, Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.

• Deputies responded a fire alarm at an Old Hooks Road residence. There was no fire.

• Deputies responded to medical emergency at a Sylvan Drive residence.

• A suspicious vehicle was reported at a Pecan Terrace residence.

• Deputies responded to a mobile home fire on West Rockhill Drive.

• A suspicious person was reported at a Ga. Highway 45 South, Plains residence.
