AMERICUS — Smoke House Barbecue Pub & Bar, 118 N. Jackson St., is a wholesome environment where customers can have a great time and enjoy great food, according to owner Jessie Anthony
Smoke House serves ribs, barbecue pork and chicken, chili dogs, hot wings, etc. Anthony said the ribs are slow-cooked in a smoker for eight hours and many of the sides like Brunswick Stew, Cole slaw and collards are homemade. Call-in orders are welcomed (924-2800).
Beer is also served and happy hour is from 8-10 p.m.
He said the Smoke House is the largest pub/bar in Americus and it has a bandstand and large dance floor. A live band usually performs on the weekends and DJ performs nightly. The Smoke House has several large flat-screen TVs.
A security staff is on duty during nightly events. “This is the hottest night spot in town,” said Anthony.
Thursday night is “college night” and Friday night is “ladies’ night” where drinks are half price for ladies from 8-11 p.m. There is a pool table and dart boards and pool and dart tournaments are coming soon as well as poker tournaments.
