The faculty at South Georgia Technical College in Americus and Cordele participated in Staff Development sessions recently.
The faculty underwent First Aid and CPR training, Net Library instruction, Distance Learning and Web-Enhanced Instruction classes, Assessment Basics, and Scheduling and Grid Development classes. Dr. Adrienne Beach Duncan, Director of Staff Development at SGTC, coordinated the staff development activities.
SGTC Practical Nursing Instructors Michele Ragsdale and Jennifer Childs along with Medical Assisting Instructor Carolyn Myers and Criminal Justice Instructor Teresa McCook taught the First Aid and CPR training classes on the Americus campus and Cathy Freeman, Practical Nursing Instructor on the SGTC Crisp County Center campus taught the classes to the Crisp County faculty.
Dr. Deborah Jones, Distance Learning Coordinator at SGTC, taught the Distance Learning and Web-Enhanced Instruction sessions; Jerry Stovall, Director of Library and Media Services, conducted the sessions on Net Library; David Kuipers, Dean of Instruction, taught the Assessment Basics sessions; and Lemond Hall, Director of Evening Operations, conducted the Scheduling and Grid Development classes as part of the staff development.
