Montezuma DDA hosts contest

AMERICUS — The Montezuma Downtown Development Authority is hosting a Historic Buildings Drawing Contest to celebrate Georgia Cities Week. The “Georgia Cities: A Story to Tell” theme pays tribute to the history and importance of the role cities play in economic development and quality of life.

Youth aged 6-21 can enter the Montezuma Historic Buildings Drawing Contest by submitting an 8 X 10 drawing of any building in downtown Montezuma by April 18. Drawings will be displayed and voted on in the City of Montezuma’s tent at the Relay for Life event on April 25. Gift certificates will be awarded for first, second and third place for elementary, high, middle and college age groups.

Drawings may be entered in the contest by dropping them off at the Montezuma Downtown Development Authority office in the Railroad Depot at 97 E. Railroad St. from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday. Drawings can also be mailed to the attention of Camille Bielby at Montezuma DDA, P.O. Box 388, Montezum GA 31063.
