AMERICUS — Americus Police Department



Arrests

• Gregory A. Ingram, 41, of 415 Winn St., Americus is charged with sorting, storing, composting or collecting yard trimmings. He was released on summons to appear in court.

• Cory J. Spivey, 21, of 507 Winder St., Andersonville is charged with forgery, and was jailed.

• A juvenile was charged with making terroristic threats, criminal trespass and unruliness at an East Jefferson Street address.

• A juvenile was charged with unruliness at a Westside Drive residence.

• Jaquis Jones, no age or address provided, is charged with theft by shoplifting, and was jailed.



Incidents

• Shoplifting was reported at Wal-Mart Supercenter, 1809 E. Lamar St.

• Criminal trespass was reported at a Barnum Drive residence.

• Domestic disturbances were reported at residences on West Church Street and Brinson Drive.

• A .45-caliber handgun was reported stolen at an East Jefferson Street address.

• Counterfeit bills were reported at Music Mart, 107 Manhattan St.; Video Warehouse, 103 Prince St.; and Kangaroo Express, 1204 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

• Hit and run accidents were reported at Sumter Regional East, 1048 E. Forsyth St., and Harvey’s, 106 Prince St.

• Two vehicles were reported damaged by a shopping cart at Harvey’s.

• Reckless driving and laying drag were reported in the parking lot of Americus Village, East Forsyth Street.

• Entering an auto and second-degree criminal damage were reported on Bill Cross Street.

Arrest

• Antwan Bridges, 33, of 221 Burton Circle, Americus is charged with simple battery, reckless conduct and obstruction, and was jailed.



Incidents

• A U.S. Highway 19 North resident told authorities that a strange dog came into her yard, growled at her daughter and chased her small cats.

• A Hudson Street, Plains resident reported a stolen boat, motor and trailer.

• Change, a pistol and shells were reported stolen from a vehicle on Ga. Highway 27 East.

• Deputies assisted a motorist at Old Andersonville and Burma roads.

• Two dogs were reported fighting at a Swisher Road, Plains residence.

• Shots were reportedly fire in the area of Harvey Adams Road.

• Theft was reported on Standard Elevator Road.
