Two names submitted to Governor for State Court Judge of Sumter County

Atlanta — According to Judicial Nominating Committee of Georgia's website, the Judicial Nominating Commission has submitted recommendations to fill a vacancy within the State Court of Sumter County. The vacancy was created by the resignation of Judge Russ F. Barnes.

 

Governor Deal will fill the vacancy from among the list. The Governor's Office will contact candidates to schedule interviews.

The two names submitted to the Governor were Michael Greene - solo practitioner, J. Michael Greene, PC; judge, Municipal Court of the City of Americus; and William W. Rambo - partner, Gatewood, Skipper & Rambo, P.C.; prosecutor, Municipal Court of the City of Americus.
