In a cutline, in Friday’s edition, below a photo of an individual who was working on the sign at Souther Field airport last week, it was stated that a “sheriff’s deputy stood nearby.”
Jane Lovett, Monograms and More/Custom Signs, was the worke in the photo and she wanted to make it clear that the deputy was not there to provide security. “I don’t know if he was there just because he was being nosy or on regular patrol, but he was not there for us,” she said.
The issue was being brought up as Lovett’s company was in the process of changing the letters in the sign for the purpose of the renaming of the airport.
