Hog Jog set for Oct. 31

VIENNA — Plans are underway for this year’s 5K Hog Jog and one mile race which will be held Oct. 31 in conjunction with the annual Big Pig Jig Festival.

Dooly County 4-H Club is organizing the “Run & See Georgia” Grand Prix event, and proceeds will benefit that organization.

The one mile run begins at 7:45 a.m. at Dooly County High School on Ga. Highway 41 north of here, then the 5K will follow at 8:15 a.m.

Registration is $20 or $10 for youth 14 and under. Male and female winners will be announced in a variety of age categories as well as the overall winners.

Following the Hog Jog, there will be a parade and other events in downtown Vienna.
