AMERICUS—Cynthia Carter, Director of Career Services at South Georgia Technical College of Americus recently reported that there are employment opportunities with the United States Census Bureau (USCB).
The U.S. Census Bureau is recruiting temporary, part-time census takers for the 2010 Census. These short-term jobs offer good pay, flexible hours, paid training, and reimbursement for authorized work-related expenses, such as mileage incurred while conducting census work. Best of all: census takers work right in their own communities.
For all job seekers that are interested in employment opportunities, testing will be held at South Georgia Technical College’s Americus Campus at the Pope Center in the Weyerhaeuser Room 102 on November 20th from 1:00-4:00pm.
SGTC is currently registering students for the Winter Quarter classes. Winter Quarter will begin on January 7th, 2010. For more information visit the SGTC website of contact the admissions office at 229-931-2760 in Americus or 229-271-4051 in Cordele.
