AMERICUS — Noah Young, Southland Academy sixth-grade science student, helps his class learn about osmosis, the process of water movement into and out of cells. He has placed a raw egg into a cup and covered it with water to see if osmosis occurs. If the egg weighs more the next day, then the water has moved into the egg. If it weighs less, the water has moved out of the egg.
