A look back

AMERICUS — In 2007, Sumter Regional Hospital was ruined by a tornado. Now, Phoebe Sumter Medical Center (PSMC) is building a new hospital at the corner of U.S. Highways 19 and 280. PSMC now heads the temporary hospital, which was put up days after the tornado struck on Forsyth Street, just blocks away from where the tornado struck. The old hospital site remains vacant now. These are some shots from where the old hospital was before the tornado struck in 2007.
