High fire danger alert issued

AMERICUS — According to the National Weather Service, there are high fire danger conditions Saturday afternoon and evening for parts of West Central Georgia due to low relative humidities. Low humidity combined with gusty winds from the northwest at up to 20 mph can result in disaster.

Citizens are advised to check with local burn permitting authorities prior to burning anything outdoors.
