Submitted Photo Beverly Matthews’ third-grade class at Webster County School is ecstatic about Ricky McJunkin and Dustin Chavers helping out in their classroom. McJunkin and Chavers are enrolled in the Community Center Learning Project. Dorothy Crimes is in charge of the program. McJunkin and Chavers spend about an hour every day assisting the third-graders with academics or doing special things for the class. The kids interact well with both of these fine young men and appreciate them.

Phoebe Sumter Medical Center and Phoebe Sumter Surgical Associates announce the opening of a new bariatric program for the surgical treatment of obesity. The program is under the direction of Dr. Jeremy Joyner and Dr. Sean Sheff of Phoebe Sumter Surgical Associates.
