AMERICUS —
Phoebe Sumter Medical Center and The Rotary Club of Americus are co-sponsoring an important community Blood Drive from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. this Friday, Dec. 21 at First Baptist Church in Americus.
This is the time of year for giving so please take the time to give the Gift of Life.
You can make an appointment through Thursday by calling the local Red Cross office at 924-2026.
All participants will receive a FREE long-sleeved T-shirt and be entered into a regional drawing for a $1000 gift card.

Ru Story-Huffman named dean of GSW’s James Earl Carter Library
Ru Story-Huffman, interim dean of the James Earl Carter Library at Georgia Southwestern State University, was officially named dean. Prior to her role as interim dean, Story-Huffman served as reference librarian and government information coordinator at the Carter Library. She succeeds Vera Weisskopf who retired in March 2012.
