Geneva Oliver Johnson, age 79, 801 Hawkins St., Americus, Georgia passed January 10, 2013.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., January 14, 2013 at United Holiness Church Headquarter, Inc., 901 Aaron Snipes, Sr. Dr., Americus, Georgia. Interment will follow in the Union Hill AME Church Cemetery, Corner of Spivey and Poplar St., Ellaville, Georgia.
Geneva was born August 24, 1933 to the late Bruce Hankerson and Lessie L. Oliver. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle of Faith Holiness Church. After many dedicated years of service, she retired from Tri-County Mental Health Retardation Center.

Billie Jean Pugh Cosby, 83, of 2124 U.S. 280 West, Plains, formerly of Preston, died Friday, June 14, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lee Smith and Laurie Hartley officiating. Burial will follow at the Preston City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the residence of Elaine Pugh, 104 Cherry Laurel Trail, Southland Ridge, Americus.

Funeral services for Lt. Col. (retired) Uriah McGrady of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of Smithville, Ga., will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 17, 2013, at Green Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. Hosie Waters will officiate and burial will follow in the Andersonville National Cemetery.The remains will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the services.

Ray Smith and Brother Gene Simmons officiating’ burial will follow at noon Monday, June 17, 2013. at Andersonville National Cemetery at the rostrum with full military honors.
