Charles David Cagle

ANDERSONVILLE — Charles David Cagle, 60, Andersonville, Ga., passed away Oct. 14, 2012, at home from cancer.  Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home in Montezuma.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 18, 2012, at Watson-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens in Oglethorpe, Ga.

Mr. Cagle was born Aug. 25, 1952, in Jacksonville, Fla. He retired from the City of Montezuma in 2010.  He also worked at Jameson Inn, Mulcoa, and Southern Frozen Foods. Charles was a member of the Bonded Brothers of Bluegrass organization to promote bluegrass music. He avidly restored and worked on many creative projects. Charles also enjoyed motorcycle riding and nature.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bronze M. Cagle and stepfather, Donald Wood.  

Mr. Cagle’s survivors include his (wife) Diane Cagle of Andersonville, Ga.; (son and daughter-in-law)  Jason and Ali Cagle of Jacksonville, Fla.; (brother and sister-in-law) Robert and Tina Cagle of Plymouth, Wisc.; (sister and brother-in-law) Patty and Rick Harvey of McClenny, Fla.; (mother) Margie Wood of Oglethorpe, Ga., and two grandchildren, Bronze and Pheobe Cagle. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews: Angie and Kevin Gallagher; Jennifer Hillam and Christie and Chris Henschel.

Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 25, 2013, on the Ellaville/Schley Co. Recreation Baseball Field No. 2 with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery.     Dr. Augusto Lopez, 84, passed away Monday evening, May 20, 2013, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.
    A funeral mass is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2013, at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Clif Marquis officiating.
    A rosary service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday evening, May 24, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, followed by visitation at the family home, 309 Eckles Road, beginning at 7 p.m.
