Updates on Sumter County Schools’ dress code

AMERICUS — From Staff Reports

AMERICUS — As the Dress Code/School Uniform Policy enters the third year of successful adoption in Sumter County Schools, several administrators have suggested sharing outgrown and usable garments and shoes with less fortunate students. There are no changes in the 2010-11 Dress Code and colors and styles remain the same. Parents, caregivers and students are asked to bring these items with them to open house in all Sumter County Schools on Tuesday. Primary and elementary schools will have their open houses from 5-7 p.m., and the middle schools, Ninth Grade Academy and Americus-Sumter High School-South campus will have their open house from 6-8 p.m. For immediate distribution of donated items by school administration, garments should be clean and in wearable order.
