Americus-Sumter FFA well represented

AMERICUS — Four Americus-Sumter County High School FFA members made it official; they were chosen to attend the prestigious Tulsa School of Welding in Jacksonville, Fla.

 Erick Wright is the son of Ernest and Sherrie Wright of Americus; Justin Cladd is the son of Ricky and Veronda Cladd of Americus;  Wycovia Merritt is the son of Brenda and Michael Merrit of Plains, and Chris Harper is the son of Ricky and Christy Harper of Plains.

“I’m very proud for each of these students and their desire to further their education. Each of these students will attend the Tulsa School of Welding this fall and will provide their employers with the skills and leadership that is highly sought after in today’s competitive workforce,” says Eric Dixon, Americus-Sumter agriculture education teacher and FFA advisor.
