AMERICUS —
Under bright sun and windy conditions, Mario Pagan and Andrew Storey visited Perry Wellness Center (PWC) to video a short segment to fulfill a class assignment for a video production class directed by Mr. Bob Slenker, Instructional Technology coordinator for Georgia Southwestern State University.
Arriving at 302 E. Furlow St., the creative team captured various scenes of the active campus. Phyllis Bleckley, Market nanager for Rudy's Happy Patch Market, shared information about the formation and seasonal offerings of the market.
PWC founder, Stuart Perry, took time from his leadership chores of garden preparation for fall plantings to talk with the students and offer his encouragement to their project. Perry was eager to share news of current programs and future plans to expand the present campus to resemble a college environment. The guys volunteered their excitement of the colorful atmosphere of PWC and introduced the idea of a future, longer documentary of the increasing activity at the Center.
The video segments are currently airing on GSW-TV, Americus’ government access channel, on Mediacom cable channel 16 (analog) and 82.1 (digital.)]
