AMERICUS — Thanks for the support

The Friends of the Library Annual Theater Event weekend, January 26 & 27, was a huge success. It was truly a community effort. The heavy hors d’oeuvres lovingly prepared by area ladies for the Saturday evening affair were fabulous. The Sunday afternoon punch and cookies were furnished by the Americus Book Club. The show, which was written and directed by Kim Fuller of Plains, and performed by friends willing to make fools of themselves in public, had the audiences rolling in the aisles with laughter. Thanks also to the GSW Theater Department for providing technical and back stage duties -- they were flawless as usual. Of course the staff of the library did much of the little things, including set design and construction, that made the weekend such a success. The event was great fun and earned some good money for the Friends to use to support our public library. Thanks again to everybody who helped and attended.

The word test

Today most of us are familiar with the acid test, which is use to tell whether gold is pure. I believe this is why Holy Scripture say, we shall know the truth, and the truth shall (make) us free, John 8:32. There are billions of people who are failing the Word test today. Paul commands believers to examine themselves in 2Corinthians 13:5, where he said examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. and he said we are to know our selves, and to (know) whether Jesus Christ lives is in us, except we be failures. When you look at the hundreds million wealthy people on earth, and the 356, recorded billionaires, it make you wonder why over forty thousand children are dying daily, a person dies every 3.5 second of the day, from the like of food, and medical care? We who have been blessed with money, and other resources,and refuse to help the poor. Will be judge the same as the wealthy. Hebrews 4:12 say the word of God is alive, and active sharper than any double edged sword, it cut through to where soul, and spirit meet, to where joints, and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of man's heart. There is nothing that can be hide from God everything in (all) creation is exposed, and lies open before his eyes. and it is to Jehovah who we (must) all give an account of ourselves. We must work out our on salvation, with fear, and trembling, Jesus formed us together in our mother's womb. Please recognize him in all your  ways, and (help) the poor people, on earth. Millard Fuller advice me three months before he left for heaven, that if one don't use the life, and the resources, God loan us, to help the poor, it will be as though we have turned our backs on them. God Is omnipresent. Shalom to his children.
