AMERICUS — New Panthers football coach Michael Pollock is holding a meeting at 6:30 p.m Thursday for the parents of all rising prospective football players, ninth through twelfth grade.
The meeting will take place at the Americus-Sumter South campus gymnasium.
"We'll talk about upcoming plans for spring practice, summer workouts, and it can be a meet-and-greet session for me and the parents," said Pollock.
"It's an opportunity for parents to meet the new head coach and who will be working with their child. They can get to know me, and I can get to know them. It's an opportunity to get some information out there they are going to need, and so we can keep them informed of what our plans are. To me, it's a very important meeting for us to kick off the season."
Pollock was hired as the head football coach and athletics director last month. His first day on the job is March 15.
