The Americus Kiwanis Club is currently holding registration and preparing for their 5K ‘Kold Run and Walk’ which will take place on Saturday, January 26. The ‘Kold Run’ will be a 3.1 mile run that begins at Lenny’s Market, located at 110 North Hampton Street in Americus.
The goal of the Kiwanis Club is to change the world one child and one community at the time. The Americus Kiwanis Club uses such the ‘Kold Run’ to raise funds for various community service projects, many of which are focused on the children of our community. Not only can runners come out and take part in a fun and competitive event, but they also rest assured that they have helped a very worth cause with their entry into the race.
Participants the want to compete in the ‘Kold Run and Walk’ may contact Charlene Pennymon at 229-928-6487, or Stephen Pinnell at 229-924-2783 to register for the event. The registration fee for the run is $25, and participants will receive a Kool Kiwanis Gemline Surge Sport Clinch Pac Bag. The top three male and female finishers in each of the 15 age groups will also receive awards, and there will be various fantastic door prizes.
