AMERICUS — Sumter Area has announced it's all-star team for the up coming sub-district and district play. They are: Mike Russell, Geoffrey McDonald, Reed Dillard, Alex Mast, Brandon Looney, Aaron Morris, Brandon Williams, Cason Fort, Allen Glesson, Ryan Weaver, Hunter Weldon, and Thomas Welch.
The team is coached by Marty McDonald and assisted by Phillip Welch.
These players will represent Sumter Area Little League in the sub-district tournament to be held in Americus on June 29 - July 1 at the Americus / Sumter County Regional Complex on Highway 19 South.
In other related baseball news, the 10 & Under all-star team will begin district play in GRPA on Saturday, June 20 in Bainbridge with their first game at 10:00 am. Those players are:
Brandon Allison, Wade Law, Cory Buchanan, Lyle Lopez, Noah Edmonds, Miles Maxwel, Change Hollomon, Tyler Richmond, Brinson Hubbard, Jante Womack, Tyree Jordan and Colin Yang.
The team is coached by Daniel Lopez and assisted by Al Womack and Billy Hollomon
