Called Meeting: The Sumter County Board of Commissioners has a special called meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at the courthouse in Courtroom A on the second Floor to discuss consolidation of the city and county governments and any other items brought properly before the Board. The meeting is open to the public.
Board of Education: The Sumter County Board of Education meets at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Sumter County Schools adminsitration building, 100 Learning Lane. The meeting is open to the public.

Class of 2000: The Tri-County High School Class of 2000 holds its 10-year reunion from 6-11 p.m. Saturday at the Windsor Hotel in Americus. Paid Research Study: Do you have a school-age child with ADHD? If so, you may be eligible for a paid research study looking at sibling relationships in families with ADHD. Eligible families can earn $40 for answering some questions about their family. Participation takes about an hour and can be scheduled at times and locations convenient for you. Volunteers Needed: SOWEGA Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), office serving a six-county area, needs volunteers to work with abused and neglected children who are involved in the court system.
